UNESA Campus 5 Dies Natalis Celebration to Feature a Month-Long Series of Academic, Cultural, and Community Events
August 2026 – UNESA Campus 5 is set to celebrate its Dies Natalis with a vibrant series of events taking place from 31 July to September 2026. Bringing together students, lecturers, researchers, partners, and the wider community, the celebration reflects the university's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, community engagement, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The festivities will begin on 31 July 2026 with the Batik Ciprat Business Sustainability Training to Support SDG 8, organized by the Accounting Student Association. The program aims to empower local batik entrepreneurs in Gebyok Village through sustainable business practices. The following event, the English Debate Competition, hosted by the English Literature Student Association on 2 August 2026, will provide a platform for students to demonstrate critical thinking, persuasive communication, and public speaking skills in English.
One of the major highlights of the celebration is the International Conference on Advanced Perspectives in Science, Technology, Education, and Research (ICAPSTURE), scheduled for 5–6 August 2026, bringing together scholars, researchers, and professionals from various institutions to exchange innovative ideas and research findings.
The academic celebration continues with the Education Seminar & Talk Show on 11 August, followed by the Book Review and Electoral Dialogue with the General Election Commission (KPU) on 13 August, and ARTSY 5: "A Canvas of Colors, A Stage of Expressions" on 14 August 2026, showcasing students' artistic creativity through visual and performing arts.
As part of its social responsibility initiatives, UNESA Campus 5 will also hold a Thanksgiving Ceremony and Charity for Orphaned Children on 24 August 2026, promoting compassion, solidarity, and community service among the university community.
The final week of August will feature a wide range of national and international academic and creative activities, including EdTech Catalyst (National Photography Competition) on 25–26 August, the MENARA Seminar (Scientific Article Writing Workshop) on 26 August, the International Seminar on "The Global Development of Guidance and Counselling" on 27 August, the Business Competition Webinar on 29–30 August, and STORYLENS (Short Movie & Photography Essay Competition) on 29 August 2026.
Sports and community engagement will also become integral parts of the celebration through the UNESA 5K Fun Run on 30 August 2026, accompanied by the Fun Run Bazaar, creating opportunities for students, staff, alumni, and the local community to celebrate together in a healthy and festive atmosphere.
The celebration will continue into September with SIGMA (Scientific Seminar and Mathematics Innovation Forum) on 5 September 2026. Several additional flagship events will also be held throughout the year, including UNLEASH: UNESA 5 Debate & Essay Competition, Beauty Art Competition, and PENA (Economic and Academic Narrative Festival).
Through this diverse series of programs, the UNESA Campus 5 Dies Natalis Celebration is expected to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, foster student achievements, expand academic partnerships, encourage innovation, and reinforce the university's contribution to society. The entire university community and the public are warmly invited to participate in this exciting celebration, making the Dies Natalis a meaningful occasion that reflects the spirit of innovation, collaboration, sustainability, and global engagement.
