UNESA Campus 5 Concludes PKKMB 2026 with Vibrant "Dirgantara Langkara" Inauguration Ceremony
UNESA CAMPUS 5– The New Student Campus Life Orientation (PKKMB) 2026 at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) Campus 5 officially concluded on Friday (21/8). On this fourth and final day, the campus came alive with the grand "Dirgantara Langkara" Inauguration Ceremony, featuring an array of talent showcases, organizational parades, and cultural performances presented by new students and the academic community.
The day's events began early in the morning with student assembly, screening, and a joint line dance session to build energy and camaraderie among participants. Following the official opening by the MCs and welcoming remarks from the event committee, the main field hosted the Ormawa & UKM Expo Booths. This exhibition provided new students with the opportunity to explore various student organizations and activity units, helping them identify avenues for interest and talent development alongside their academic pursuits.

The inauguration's highlight was the creative cluster performances staged by the new students. A rich variety of artistic displays took the stage, including the traditional Balayudha dance, musical dramas, modern dance, Archipelago storytelling festivals, film dubbing, news parodies, and comedy theater. Indonesian cultural heritage took center stage through creative chants, flashmobs, Reog Ponorogo dance, Javanese singing (*tembang Jawa*), and martial arts demonstrations featuring karate, taekwondo, and pencak silat. Adding a warm and festive touch to the program, faculty members also delivered a special live music performance by the Faculty Band.

The afternoon continued after a prayer break with the student awarding ceremony, motivational speeches from student coordinators, and a unified chant session with all participants. The celebration reached its peak during a special guest star DJ performance, bringing immense energy to the crowd before the final documentation and official closing of the event. Through this memorable final day of PKKMB, UNESA Campus 5 officially welcomes its new class of 2026 to begin their academic journey with enthusiasm and strong community spirit.

Furthermore, the execution of the entire orientation program directly supports key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being through morning physical fitness routines and wellness activities, SDG 4: Quality Education by offering holistic learning environments that combine academic readiness with extracurricular engagement, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering inclusive collaboration among students, faculty, and student organizations to build a strong campus community.
