Campus UNESA 5 — 30th
of November 2025, The closing ceremony of the Civic and Political Knowledge
Quiz Competition, a strong collaborative initiative between UNESA 5 and
the Magetan Regency Government, concluded with great enthusiasm and
competitive spirit. The event served not only as a contest of knowledge but
also as a strategic effort to enhance political literacy, national awareness,
and character-building among students across Magetan. This synergy between
local government and higher education reflects a shared commitment to
empowering young learners and improving the quality of human resources in the region.
The closing program, held at UNESA 5, was
attended by a key figure: Welly Kristanto, the Secretary of Magetan Regency,
who delivered motivational remarks to the participating students and their
teachers. In his address, Welly emphasized the importance of youth in shaping
the nation’s future, reminding students that “the future is in our own
hands.” He encouraged them to continuously strive for excellence, nurture
discipline, and develop the readiness to face future societal challenges.
After a series of competitive rounds, the
winners were officially announced. SMAN 1 Magetan emerged as the first-place
winner, securing the grand prize of 5 million rupiah thanks to their strong
performance in the final stage. MA Umdatul Falah Poncol earned second place
following an impressive and consistent display of knowledge. SMK Yosonegoro
achieved third place and received a 3.5 million rupiah prize in recognition of
their efforts and teamwork throughout the competition.
In addition to the top three winners, the
committee also awarded Consolation Prizes (Harapan 1–3) to several teams that
showed commendable performance and potential. In accordance with official
guidelines, the names of the schools receiving the consolation prizes were not
publicly disclosed, although each team was acknowledged during the ceremony.
One of the highlights of the event was the
awarding session, where prizes were presented directly by Prof. Sarmini
on behalf of UNESA and Welly Kristanto as the representative of the
Magetan Regency Government. Their presence symbolized the strong partnership
between the academic sector and local government in expanding meaningful
learning opportunities for young students. Winners expressed great pride and
excitement upon receiving their awards, while supervising teachers voiced
appreciation for this collaborative educational platform.
Both UNESA and the Magetan Regency Government
expressed hope that this synergy will continue to grow and expand into future
programs across academic development, cultural activities, and student career
preparation. This year’s Civic and Political Knowledge Quiz Competition
demonstrated that such collaborations can successfully foster well-rounded,
informed, and civically engaged young individuals.
The event also marks the beginning of broader
initiatives planned by UNESA and the Magetan government to enhance the overall
educational ecosystem, ensuring that students are equipped with the knowledge,
skills, and mindset needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic world.
